Dr. Ericka M. Pitman

Dr. Ericka M. Pitman is an accomplished leader in learning and development with over 14 years of experience in PK-12 education and leadership, three years in nonprofit program scaling, and two years in higher education partnerships. She has a proven track record of designing and facilitating professional learning experiences, fostering community engagement, and leveraging educational technology to drive student and educator growth.
As a workshop facilitator and curriculum developer, Dr. Pitman has designed and led professional development workshops for 5,000+ educators, focusing on computational thinking, STEAM across the curriculum, technology integration, and creativity. Her expertise in adult learning theories has enabled her to craft tailored workshops based on a wide variety of professional learners' needs.
In her previous roles as PK-8 curriculum supervisor, technology integration coach, and educator, Dr. Pitman spearheaded innovative curriculum development and professional learning initiatives. She curated a diverse educational resource database, designed data-driven professional development workshops, and led cross-functional teams to implement problem-based learning curricula. Her leadership in educational technology was instrumental in implementing a district-wide 1:1 device program using federal and state grant funding.
Dr. Pitman holds a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Educational Leadership & Management with a focus on Creativity and Innovation from Drexel University, where she was recognized as a member of the Alpha Delta Kappa Honor Society. Studying under Dr. Fredericka Reisman, a student and colleague of E. Paul Torrance, she published learning modules for her most recent publication on creativity and learning, Connecting Creativity and Motivation Research with End Users: Lab to Learner (2024). She also earned a Master of Arts in Instructional Technology from Stockton University and a Bachelor of Arts in Teacher Education and Political Science. She is certified in elementary, English language arts, and social studies by the State of New Jersey.
